4 month check-up
Today was Jacob's 4 month check-up. I can't believe he is already 4 months old. The appointment went really well. He weighs 15lbs 13 oz and is 25 1/2 inches long. He is in the 75th percentile. I have these tiny babies but they really catch up fast. He is doing great and we don't go back for another 2 months. For those of you who don't know my Dad was in the hospital yesterday and today for chest pains but they ruled out a heart attack and we are just waiting on the results of more tests that they ran on him this afternoon. I just talked to my Mom and they let him go home and hopefully will be able to tell him tomorrow what is going on. Please keep him and my Mom in your prayers.

Ride Big Horsey
Kasey found this amazing park in Mclean VA for all of us to go to on Tuesday. The name of the park is rather unusual, Clemyjontri. This has to be the best park I have ever been to. There were all these fun things for the kids to do and in the middle of it all was a carousel. I told Tucker we were going and that there was a carousel and all the way there he kept saying ride big horsey. We decided to go early to beat the heat but we didn't make it in time. Early for the Hinelys is around noon. It was about 95 degrees! The swings and slides were to hot for Tucker and Mary Raines so they just rode the carousel a few times and then we had a picnic lunch. Kasey had nice croissant sandwiches for her family while the other Hinelys had to stop by Subway for there picnic. We enjoyed our lunch and no one complained except maybe Johnny. Oh well, Tucker played in the water fountain to cool off and really had more fun doing that than anything else. We had a really good time and plan to go back when its not so hot. Jacob and Brooks were there also but they weren't that happy. They liked the air conditioned car the best.

Big Boats, Feed Ducks
Johnny and Beau left early this morning to go to the U.S. Open so instead of staying home and being bored to death Kasey and I decided we would venture out with all 4 kids and go to Old Town Alexandria. The Nana is in town so we did have some extra help with the kiddos. I told Tucker this morning that we were going to Old Town and the only thing he knows about Old Town is that there are "Big Boats and Feed Ducks". For those of you who don't know anything about Old Town it is this cute little area right on the Potomac River that has really neat shops and great resturants. All I am going to say is that it took us 2 hours to go to Ann Taylor Loft (I nursed in one dressing room, Kasey in another) and get lunch. Just going to one shop with 4 kids was enough for me. After we had lunch we took the kids down to the water to see the big boats and feed the ducks which actually are geese. I don't think Tucker knows the difference or even cares. Tucker and Mary Raines had a blast! It was the perfect day to be outside. The kids had a great time with The Nana and we are so glad she was in town to help us. Happy Birthday Nana!! After Old Town we parted ways for a few hours and then went to Kasey's for BBQ. After dinner the kids played outside with The Nana and then we came home. It was a really fun time but we really miss Johnny and look forward to seeing him late tonight.

Roll Baby Roll
I was getting ready to go to the pool today and I layed Jacob down on the floor in the bathroom. As I was getting ready Jacob rolled from his back to his stomach! This was the first time he has ever done it. Its amazing how different kids are. I think Tucker was like 4 or 5 months old before he rolled over.
Little Swimmer
We recently joined a community pool that is about 5 minutes from our house. We debated whether or not to do it because it wasn't cheap but we decided to and boy does Tucker love it. He has turned into quite the little swimmer. They have a baby pool and and a "Big Pool" as Tucker calls it. He really enjoys jumping into the big pool when Daddy is with us but when its just Mommy and Jacob we have to stay in the baby pool. Tucker doesn't mind as long as he is in the water. The baby pool is very shaded and Jacob just chills in the stroller. Its really something fun to do after Tucker wakes up from his nap.

Goodbye Milk, Hello Silk
So, for the past few weeks Tucker has had an upset stomach. It hasn't been consistent but after yesterday's diaper I called the Dr and told them what has been going on. He hasn't had any symptoms with the bad diaper so they ruled out a virus. They told me he may be lactose intolerant. They told me to take him off of real diary for the next week or so and see if that makes a difference. All night last night I was so sad thinking poor Tucker is going to hate me in the morning when I give him this nasty soy milk. Uh he drank it in like two gulps.
I have finally joined the blogging world
Hello family and friends. I have finally decided to join the blogging world. I feel like this will be a good way to keep you updated with what the boys are up to and a way to watch them grow. I don't want to overload this blog with pictures of the boys but bear with me I might get carried away(that is if i can figure out how to do it).
